Professional Experience

CONSULTING: 1984 to present. Provide full range of services to municipalities including the preparation of comprehensive plans, subdivision and zoning ordinances, and sewage facilities plans; administration of land use controls; general government management; and grant applications and administration. Provide land development services to private developers.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT: Administrator/Zoning Officer, Palmyra Township, Pike County, Paupack, PA, 1985 to 2002. Responsible for overall Township management including fiscal, administrative and land use planning duties; and the enforcement of the zoning and building ordinances.

BUSINESS: Garden Center Manager, Glen Eyre Corporation, Hawley, PA, 1984 to 1985. Responsible for the management and operation of a full service retail garden center including purchasing, advertising and sales.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: Program Director, Pike County Economic Development Corporation, Milford, PA, 1981 to 1984. Organized the County-wide, non-profit corporation in cooperation with the County Industrial Authority and Chamber of Commerce. Provided services and technical assistance to prospective and existing industries and businesses. Published marketing and tourism information and County Data Profile. Administered the Federal Jobs Training Partnership Act. 

PLANNING: Director, Pike County Planning Commission, Milford, PA, 1977 to 1984. Established County level planning office and provided technical assistance to local municipalities. Assisted the Lake Wallenpaupack Watershed Management District with water quality programs. Participated in the National Park Service Upper Delaware National Scenic and Recreational River management planning process. Initiated county historic site and scenic area inventory. Developed and administered local park construction program.
